Introducing Dr. Joseph Campisi

Dr. Joseph Campisi

After growing up with asthma and living life with drugs, asthma attacks and allergic reactions, Dr. Joe began care with his brother Dr. Carmen Campisi who had recently graduated from chiropractic college. Dr. Joe received remarkable results and thereafter set his sights on becoming a chiropractor himself.

“It seemed like I was the only one of my friends who had a clear idea of what they wanted to do with their life. Even in high school I knew I would be a chiropractor.”

Dr. Campisi began his chiropractic education, with his pre-chiropractic requirements at St. Johns University in Queens, NY. There he studied basic pre-professional courses with an emphasis on the basic science courses such as inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, along with basic physiology and anatomy courses.

After completing his course of study there, he was accepted at Life College, School of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia. During his accelerated three and a half years of studies at Life, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Life College Public Clinic.

“Several times a year” continues Dr. Campisi, “the staff and I attend various seminars to keep up with the latest research and newest developments in the chiropractic profession. That keeps our skills in top form.”

Dr. Campisi is a member of the World Chiropractic Alliance International Board of Governors. As part of his duties in this position, Dr. Campisi travels to Washington, D.C. to lobby on behalf of chiropractic and patient rights.

Dr. Campisi is also on the board of the Howard Beach Civic Forum, working to improve his local community.

His Ozone Park office has sponsored several events to promote children’s Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness called Kids Day America.

The office also sponsors a yearly food drive and acts as a drop site for City Harvest, a respected citywide food rescue and donation organization.

Dr. Campisi has helped thousands of Ozone Park area residents regain their health since opening his office in 1994. “Our goal is to provide the highest quality care in a pleasant and friendly environment”.

Dr. Joseph Asks some important questions of interest to S. Ozone Park residents - Chiropractor S. Ozone Park Dr. Joseph Asks...

Would you rather feel good or be healthy?
Ask most people in S. Ozone Park and they want to feel good. Careful! Would you take medicine that makes you feel good, rather than vomit to expel improperly prepared food? Every chiropractic patient knows that you can't measure your health by how you feel. True health is when your body works as it should.
Why are frequent visits advised when starting chiropractic care?
Consistent visits at the beginning of your chiropractic care help create the momentum necessary to correct and retrain unhealthy spinal patterns. Later, S. Ozone Park patients find that continued care on a less frequent visit schedule can help preserve their progress and avoid a relapse.
